Kim attended Transylvania University, the University of Kentucky, and the New York Academy of Art. She has also studied at the Royal College of Art in London and at Rome Art Workshops. She has been doing decorative painting for the interior design trade since 2000. She lives in Lexington, Kentucky with her son, pets, and many projects.
